The Ugly Truth (Page 9)

Surprisingly, with his entry in my convention sketchbook, Tim Sievert becomes the first artist to re-imagine my infant self as a comic-book villain (I’m not counting V, since he’s more the hero of V for Vendetta, albeit a violent one):

The Ugly Truth #9 - Tim Sievert

I believe the only MODOK story I’ve read is Nick Bertozzi’s piece from Strange Tales, so the character was unfamiliar to me when Tim drew this.  The villain is one of Tim’s favorites, though, and Tim recounted how he’d once crafted a MODOK Halloween suit that fit only around his head.  Now that, I would like to have seen.

Incidentally, I’m not holding my breath waiting for an artist to draw me as a comic-book hero.  That lot is far too attractive to allow for such a comparison.  Although, now that I think about it, Swamp Thing may fit the bill . . .

(Note: For the uninitiated, The Ugly Truth is a recurring column where I show pages from my convention sketchbook, the theme of which is my notoriously hideous baby picture.  For additional background, see Jeffrey Brown’s original entry.)

HAHAHA! Rob this just keeps getting better and better! So the majority of the Ugly Truth so far has been horror related?
